UpClose Solutions was founded on a simple belief: the best work happens when you get close to the problem. Based in Male', we bring together engineers, environmental scientists, and project leaders who understand the Maldives — its fragile ecosystems, its ambitious development goals, and the balance between the two.
What began as a small team of specialists has grown into a trusted consultancy serving public institutions, private developers, and international organizations across the Maldives. Our name reflects our philosophy — we stay close to the work, close to the communities we serve, and close to the outcomes that matter.

Mohamed Haikal Ibrahim
Managing Director & Director — Engineering Services
Skilled civil and structural engineer with extensive experience across various domains of engineering and project management. He holds an MBA from Maldives National University and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Melbourne. With over a decade in academia and industry, he has served both public and private sector clients locally and internationally.
Hamdhoon Mohamed
Director — Environmental Services
An environmental specialist with extensive expertise in environmental services and regulatory compliance. He earned his Master of Environment from Macquarie University, Australia, and a Bachelor of Science from Bangalore University, India. His portfolio includes the Maldives Urban Resilience Development Project.
